At the CMA Sri Lanka National Management Accounting Conference 2026, held on 20 and 21 July at Cinnamon Life with the Chief Guest Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, the Merit Excellence Awards 2026 were presented to CMA Management Accountants who have successfully completed the CMA examinations and advanced to senior professional positions, in recognition of their outstanding professional achievements, career progression, and valuable contributions to their respective fields.
The Merit Excellence Awards were presented to: N. Sooreakumar – Internal Auditor, Ministry of Highways, Battaramulla; R. Gangatharan – Finance Manager, Green Thru Safety Medicare (Pvt) Ltd; Nuwan Bogahalanda – Chief Financial Officer, Bogawantalawa Tea Estates PLC and Dayal Weersooriya – General Manager – ERP Implementation & Business Transformation,Blue Lotus 360.
The awards were presented by CPA Australia President Prof. Dale Pinto, SAFA President Mohammed Humayun Kabir, CMA President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and CMA Vice President H. M. Hennayake Bandara.
