Author and songwriter Thilini Madawanarachchi has introduced two new books, Husmatath Eha and Love Is All You Need, at a special launch event held at The Barn House in Panadura.
The gathering went beyond a conventional literary launch, bringing together guests from different professional and creative fields to celebrate literature, music, human relationships and the importance of appreciating the present moment.
The central message behind Madawanarachchi’s latest works revolves around love, kindness and meaningful connections. Indrananda Abeysekara, China–Sri Lanka Friendship Ambassador, addressed the gathering and highlighted the ability of literature to create connections between people and encourage positive interaction.
Dr. Chathurika Jayasekara, Medical Officer in Forensic Psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health in Mulleriyawa New Town, also shared her perspective during the event. Journalist Nuwan Gammampila was another speaker at the event, sharing his thoughts on Madawanarachchi’s journey as an author and the themes explored through her latest publications.
The evening also reflected another important part of Madawanarachchi’s creative identity. Alongside her work as an author, she has previously written songs, and she used the occasion to introduce her latest song to the audience.
