DIMO Agribusinesses, the sole authorised distributor of Swaraj tractors in Sri Lanka, has concluded this year’s “Swaraj Parapura” initiative, reinforcing its commitment to reliable after-sales support and an enhanced ownership experience for Swaraj tractor owners across the country.
Conducted for the fourth consecutive year, the programme was designed to help farmers prepare both themselves and their machinery for the upcoming Maha cultivation season. This year’s initiative was carried out throughout July on an island-wide scale, reaching Swaraj tractor owners across the regions where the brand’s customers are based.
As part of the programme, DIMO Agri machinery service teams visited customers directly at their homes and farms. The doorstep approach enabled the teams to strengthen relationships with farming communities while making technical assistance and essential after-sales services more accessible to customers.
During the visits, customers received free inspections of their Swaraj tractors, along with minor repairs and servicing where required. The teams also provided practical advice on regular maintenance, tractor performance and durability, helping farmers keep their machinery in optimal condition ahead of the demanding Maha cultivation season.
The maintenance guidance was aimed at improving reliability and reducing the risk of machinery-related downtime during critical periods of agricultural activity. Customers were also presented with complimentary gifts as a gesture of appreciation for their continued trust in the Swaraj brand.
The initiative further helped raise awareness among tractor owners about the availability of genuine Swaraj spare parts and the enhanced after-sales services provided by DIMO Agri Machinery. By taking technical expertise directly to farming communities, the programme continues to support a smoother and more reliable ownership experience for Swaraj customers.
Commenting on the initiative, Rajeev Pandithage, Executive Director of DIMO, said, “Swaraj Parapura reflects DIMO’s commitment to remaining closely connected with customers throughout their ownership journey. By reaching customers directly at their doorsteps ahead of the Maha season, the programme enables us to provide timely technical support, promote proper maintenance practices and create greater awareness of genuine Swaraj spare parts. Continuing this initiative for the fourth consecutive year further demonstrates the strong relationships we have built with farming communities across Sri Lanka.”
Through “Swaraj Parapura” and its continued investment in after-sales support, DIMO Agribusinesses aims to contribute to the advancement of agricultural mechanisation in Sri Lanka by providing farmers with reliable products, technical expertise and services that support greater productivity and strengthen the country’s farming community.
