The preparations for Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) Congress & Conference 2026, to be held from August 21-25, 2026, in Colombo, are progressing successfully as Sri Lanka prepares to welcome the international quantity surveying and built environment community for one of the region’s most significant professional gatherings.
Hosted by the Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (IQSSL), PAQS 2026 will be held under the theme ‘Constructing the Evolution: Unleashing Human Intelligence’, bringing together global thought leaders, professionals, academics, policymakers, innovators and industry partners to explore the future of the built environment in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The organising committee reported that several key milestones have already been achieved. Conference planning and programme development are well advanced, delegate registrations are steadily increasing, paper submissions have reached a record high with contributions received from all PAQS member countries, reflecting the growing international interest and significance of PAQS 2026 and preparations for technical sessions, networking events, technical visits, Young Quantity Surveyor programmes and international committee meetings are progressing according to schedule.
As momentum continues to build towards the conference, the ‘Powering the Light’ Sponsorship Revealing Event held recently revealed the organisations that have joined PAQS 2026 as partners in driving the evolution of the built environment and demonstrated their commitment to advancing professional excellence, innovation, knowledge sharing and sustainable development within the built environment sector.
PAQS 2026 is expected to attract hundreds of delegates from across Asia-Pacific and other regions of the world, creating a unique platform for exchanging knowledge, strengthening professional networks, showcasing innovations, and highlighting Sri Lanka’s capabilities in the global built environment arena.
