Evolution Auto (Pvt) Ltd has officially introduced the AVATR 07 to the Sri Lankan market at an exclusive launch event held at the Sangam Ballroom of ITC Ratnadipa, marking the arrival of a new premium electric vehicle focused on luxury, technology and intelligent mobility.
Launched under the philosophy Built for those who notice, the AVATR 07 brings together distinctive styling, premium comfort, advanced digital features and next-generation electric vehicle technology. Its arrival further expands Evolution Auto’s premium automotive portfolio while reinforcing the company’s focus on introducing internationally recognised new energy vehicles to Sri Lankan consumers.
AVATR combines the technological and engineering capabilities of three major global companies, Changan Automobile, Huawei and CATL. Changan contributes more than 160 years of automotive engineering and manufacturing experience, while Huawei provides expertise in intelligent driving, smart cabin systems and connected vehicle technologies. CATL, one of the world’s leading battery manufacturers, contributes advanced battery and energy solutions to the AVATR platform.
The AVATR 07 was designed under the leadership of Chief Design Officer Nader Faghihzadeh, featuring carefully proportioned lines, sculpted surfaces and a distinctive road presence. Its aerodynamic design achieves a drag coefficient of 0.259, supporting improved efficiency while contributing to its streamlined and contemporary appearance.
Commenting on the launch, Virann De Zoysa, Group CEO of Evolution Auto, described the AVATR 07 as an important milestone for both the company and Sri Lanka’s premium electric vehicle segment.
He said the model brings together automotive engineering, intelligent technology and advanced battery capabilities with a refined luxury experience. Through the introduction of AVATR, Evolution Auto aims to provide Sri Lankan customers with a new level of intelligent mobility while maintaining the company’s established sales and after-sales support.
Owners of the AVATR 07 will have access to Evolution Auto’s dedicated multi-brand showroom network, specialised electric vehicle after-sales facilities and the nationwide Sterling After Care support network.
The launch positions the AVATR 07 as a new entrant to Sri Lanka’s growing premium electric vehicle market, combining luxury-focused design with connected technology and electric mobility.
