Maliban Biscuit Manufactories has strengthened its position among Sri Lanka’s most respected corporate entities, rising to 15th place in the LMD Most Respected Entities in Sri Lanka 2026 ranking. The company improved by five positions from its 20th-place ranking in 2025, placing it among the country’s Top 20 most respected entities.
The latest recognition highlights Maliban’s growing reputation within Sri Lanka’s corporate community. The ranking is based on the perceptions of senior professionals across the country’s business sector, with organisations evaluated based on factors including leadership, performance and reputation.
The 2026 Most Respected Entities survey was conducted by PepperCube Consultants in collaboration with LMD during March and April. It received responses from 600 professionals holding managerial positions or above. Participants were selected from organisations listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, the LMD 100 for 2024/25 and Brands Annual 2025.
The survey methodology was structured to promote diversity and minimise potential organisational bias. No more than six respondents were selected from any single organisation, while participants were also not allowed to nominate their own employer.
For the overall Most Respected ranking, respondents were asked to nominate three organisations they considered to be the most respected. The nominations were then assessed using a weighted scoring system, with five points awarded for a first-place nomination, three points for second place and one point for third place. The aggregate scores were used to determine the final rankings.
Maliban’s movement from 20th place in 2025 to 15th place in 2026 represents a notable improvement within a ranking that features some of Sri Lanka’s largest and most established corporate organisations.
The latest recognition also highlights the company’s reputation beyond consumer product preference, reflecting the level of regard it has earned within Sri Lanka’s broader business community.
