Sathosa Motors PLC (SML), the authorised distributor of Isuzu vehicles in Sri Lanka, has achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to quality management, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
The certification was awarded by Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS – UK Branch following an audit of Sathosa Motors PLC’s management system. The certification confirms that the company’s management system has been audited and found to comply with the requirements of the internationally recognised ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard.
The scope of the certification covers the import and sale of brand-new Isuzu vehicles, the sale of Isuzu Genuine Spare Parts, and after-sales services including repair and maintenance.
The achievement reflects Sathosa Motors’ focus on maintaining structured and consistent processes throughout the customer journey. This extends from the purchase of a new Isuzu vehicle to the supply of genuine spare parts and the delivery of professional repair and maintenance services.
Beyond meeting the requirements of an internationally recognised quality management standard, the certification reinforces SML’s commitment to continuously strengthening its systems and processes. The company aims to provide dependable products and services while responding to the evolving expectations of its customers.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification is a multi-site accreditation that extends beyond Sathosa Motors’ Head Office in Colombo. It covers key operations across the company’s network, including the Peliyagoda, Vauxhall Street and Kurunegala workshops.
The certification also encompasses genuine spare-parts operations at SML branches in Rathnapura, Badulla, Dambulla, Kandy, Panchikawatta, Matara, Kurunegala and Negombo.
By achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification across these locations, Sathosa Motors further strengthens its commitment to consistent quality standards across its vehicle sales, spare-parts and after-sales service operations in Sri Lanka.
