Business opportunities do not always begin with an investment, a business plan or a brilliant idea. Sometimes, they begin with a conversation.

Recognising the importance of professional connections and real-world business exposure, ANC Campus, in collaboration with Pearson, brings you a new experience designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, marketing students, sales professionals and business-minded individuals who want to connect, learn and grow.

The Business Growth & Networking Experience, taking place on Saturday, 21 November 2026, at the ANC Auditorium, is not intended to be another conventional lecture or seminar. Instead, it brings together experienced industry professionals and aspiring business minds in an environment where conversations, knowledge-sharing and meaningful connections take centre stage.

The objective is simple: create an opportunity for people to learn from those who have experienced the business world, exchange ideas and build relationships that could lead to future opportunities.

“Your next business opportunity may begin with a conversation.”

Beyond the Traditional Lecture

What happens when you bring together an entrepreneur, a sales coach, a marketing professional and a room full of people interested in business?

You create opportunities for conversations that may not happen in a traditional classroom.

The Business Growth & Networking Experience encourages participants to interact directly with the speakers and fellow attendees. It is about asking questions, discussing challenges, sharing experiences, exchanging business cards and exploring possibilities.

A young entrepreneur may find someone who can guide a business idea. A marketing student may connect with a professional who can provide industry exposure. A business owner may meet someone who could become a future project partner or client.

The event also aims to encourage a supportive business community where participants share knowledge, recommend opportunities, collaborate on projects and help one another grow.

After all, networking is not simply about collecting contacts. It is about building relationships that create mutual value.

Three Professionals. Three Perspectives. One Business Community.

A key highlight of the event is the opportunity to engage with three professionals representing different areas of the business world.

Mr. Sudath Horadagoda

Managing Director – Frella International (Pvt) Ltd

Entrepreneurship requires more than having a good business idea. It involves identifying opportunities, understanding markets, managing challenges and turning ideas into sustainable ventures.

Mr. Sudath Horadagoda brings the perspective of an entrepreneur and business leader through his role as Managing Director of Frella International. His professional background also includes international sales and business leadership experience.

His participation offers aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to explore the realities of business development, brand building and the journey of taking a business forward.

Mr. Lasith Abeyagunawardana

Certified Trainer & Sales Coach | Founder – SalesGuru.lk | Co-Founder / Director – Acteil Innovative Solutions (Pvt) Ltd | Vice President – SLITAD

Sales is one of the most important skills in any business, regardless of its size or industry.

With his background in sales coaching, professional training and business development, Mr. Lasith Abeyagunawardana brings a practical perspective on developing sales capabilities and building professional relationships.

As Founder of SalesGuru.lk, Co-Founder and Director of Acteil Innovative Solutions, and Vice President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Training and Development (SLITAD), he is actively involved in professional development and the sales and training landscape.

His insights will be particularly relevant to individuals beginning their careers in sales, professionals looking to improve their performance and entrepreneurs who want to understand how to develop customers and grow their businesses.

Mr. Yogachandran

Marketing Manager – Hesperus Marketing (Pvt) Ltd | President – Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing Toastmasters Club

Marketing is much more than advertising a product or promoting a service. It is about understanding people, identifying customer needs and communicating value effectively.

Mr. Yogachandran brings a corporate marketing perspective through his role as Marketing Manager at Hesperus Marketing (Pvt) Ltd. His involvement as President of the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing Toastmasters Club also reflects his engagement in professional communication and leadership development.

His participation offers marketing students and aspiring professionals an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the practical side of marketing and the importance of communication, strategic thinking and professional development.

Together, the three speakers bring complementary perspectives on entrepreneurship, sales and marketing, giving participants an opportunity to explore different aspects of the business world.

Why This Could Be the Right Place for Young Professionals

For individuals aged 18–25, particularly university students and those entering the job market, building professional relationships early can make a significant difference.

Many students graduate with academic qualifications but have limited exposure to the people, challenges and opportunities within their chosen industries.

This event aims to help bridge that gap.

If you are studying marketing or business management, interested in becoming an entrepreneur, looking for your first sales opportunity or simply trying to understand how the corporate world operates, this is an opportunity to start connecting with the industry.

You do not need to own a business or have years of professional experience to participate. Having an idea, an interest in business or the willingness to learn is enough.

You could meet a future mentor, discover a project opportunity, find someone to collaborate with or simply gain the confidence to build your professional network.

Building Connections That Go Beyond One Event

A strong business community is built when people are willing to share more than just their business cards.

It develops when professionals share their experiences, entrepreneurs exchange ideas, newcomers receive guidance and individuals help one another access opportunities.

That is the culture this event hopes to encourage.

The intention is not simply to bring people together for two hours, but to create an environment where professional relationships can continue long after the event concludes.

For someone with a business idea, the right conversation could provide direction. For someone starting a career, one introduction could open a door. For an established business, a new connection could lead to a valuable collaboration.

“Sometimes, your next business opportunity is not something you search for. It is someone you meet.”

Be Part of the Experience

ANC Campus invites aspiring entrepreneurs, students, marketing and sales professionals, business owners and anyone interested in professional growth to be part of this experience.

Come with your ideas, bring your business cards, be ready to ask questions and, most importantly, be open to meeting new people.
