Maliban Group clinches two Gold Dragons among seven accolades

The Maliban Group of Companies has earned seven recognitions at the Dragons of Sri Lanka 2026 Awards, securing two Gold Dragons, one Silver Dragon, two Bronze Dragons and two Black Dragons across multiple categories.

The achievement reflects the Group’s continued focus on developing purposeful brand communication that connects with consumers through creativity, innovation and strategic execution. The recognised campaigns demonstrated Maliban’s ability to create meaningful brand experiences across a range of business categories and marketing objectives.

The winning work covered areas including experiential marketing, sustainability, media, content creation, brand trials, sales generation, and brand activation and awareness. Together, the campaigns highlight the Group’s approach to combining strategic insight with creative execution to deliver impactful consumer engagement.

The Dragons of Sri Lanka Awards are among the country’s recognised platforms for celebrating excellence in marketing effectiveness and communication. As an official extension of the Dragons of Asia, the awards form part of a globally recognised network that has been celebrating results-driven marketing excellence since 2000.

The Dragons of Asia is positioned alongside leading international marketing effectiveness platforms including the Cannes Lions, Effie Awards and IPA Effectiveness Awards. Recognition at the Dragons therefore represents an important benchmark for brands and agencies seeking to demonstrate effective and results-driven marketing across the region.

For the Maliban Group of Companies, the seven awards reflect the strength of campaigns built around strategic insight, creative excellence and purposeful brand engagement. The recognition also demonstrates the Group’s ability to develop communication that goes beyond traditional advertising to establish meaningful connections with consumers.

Among the recognised campaigns, “Maliban Chocolate Biscuits. Kids Will Do Anything for This Taste” by Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Sri Lanka received a Gold Dragon in the Brand Activation and/or Awareness category. The campaign was recognised for its ability to create an engaging consumer experience around the brand.

“The Superhero That Replaced Child Advertising”, developed for Maliban Dairy & Agri Products Sri Lanka, also secured a Gold Dragon, winning in the Content Creation category. The recognition highlights the campaign’s ability to use creative content to deliver an impactful brand message.

The “HumanTill. A Lived Experience of Giving” campaign for Maliban Biscuit Manufactories Sri Lanka received a Silver Dragon in the Event or Experiential category, along with a Bronze Dragon in the Cause, Environment or Sustainability category. The campaign’s recognition across both categories reflects its experiential approach and focus on purposeful engagement.

Meanwhile, “The One Breath Challenge” secured a Bronze Dragon in the Media category and a Black Dragon in the Creative Excellence category, recognising its media strategy and creative execution.

The “Maliban Kiri Consumer Promo” campaign for Maliban Milk Products Group Sri Lanka received a Black Dragon in the Brand Trial or Sales Generation category, adding to the Group’s overall tally and further demonstrating the breadth of its recognised marketing work.

With seven awards spanning multiple disciplines, the Maliban Group’s performance at the Dragons of Sri Lanka 2026 Awards underscores its continued emphasis on strategic, creative and purpose-driven brand communication.
