Architects’ Work and Trade Exhibition to be held from 19 – 21 February

‘Architect 2027’, organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA)  is scheduled to take place from 19th to 21st February 2027 at the BMICH Complex, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

The Architects’ Work & Trade Exhibition, themed “Future Architect,” will showcase innovation, creativity, and the profession’s contributions to the built environment and society.

The event will also promote architectural education from SLIA-accredited schools and highlight future-ready architects, with a focus on technology, social impact, ethics, and sustainable materials. Government authorities involved in building construction will offer information on community development, bylaws, zoning, and approval processes.

Architect 2027 will once again serve as a platform to showcase design innovations, foster engagement between architects and the public, and highlight the importance of local entrepreneurship and sustainable, futuristic designs. Highlights of the exhibition include: One-on-One Help Desk, Architects’ Work Display Panels, Architects’ Forum, Student Exhibitions, SLIA Publications Stall, and Trade Stalls.

A stallholders briefing will be held in early February 2027 at the SLIA office in Colombo 7.
