GPS Health, Ceylinco Life partner to introduce digital cashless hospitalisation service

GPS Health Pvt Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ceylinco Life Insurance Limited to introduce a digital cashless hospitalisation service aimed at making healthcare insurance services more efficient and convenient for policyholders.

The agreement was signed by GPS Health Chairman Paranitharan Nadarajah and Ceylinco Life Insurance Chairman Renganathan, marking the beginning of a partnership to modernise healthcare claims management through digital technology.

Under the agreement, GPS Health will provide its technology platform to manage cashless hospitalisation and other medical insurance claims, connecting insurers, hospitals, healthcare providers and policyholders through a single digital system.

The platform is designed to streamline the claims process, reduce paperwork and enable faster processing of medical approvals and payments. It will also provide greater transparency and improve communication between insurance companies, hospitals and policyholders.

According to GPS Health, Ceylinco Life selected the company as its technology and third-party service partner following an evaluation of five service providers. The selection was based on its technology, digital capabilities, operational standards and approach to healthcare services.

In addition to cashless hospitalisation, the platform will support outpatient department (OPD) claims, reimbursement claims, pre-authorisation procedures and hospital network management.

It will also include secure online portals for insurers and hospitals, a mobile application for policyholders, automated customer notifications, real-time management dashboards and analytical tools. GPS Health said it would provide round-the-clock operational support.

GPS Health Chairman Paranitharan Nadarajah said the partnership was an important milestone for the company and Sri Lanka’s healthcare and insurance industries.

He said the company’s vision was to build an integrated digital healthcare system that connects insurers, hospitals, healthcare providers and policyholders, adding that the collaboration with Ceylinco Life would help improve customer service, operational efficiency and digital innovation.

The partnership is expected to strengthen the use of technology in healthcare insurance by simplifying administrative processes and improving the experience of policyholders seeking medical treatment.

GPS Health said its platform was designed to support both life and general insurance businesses and could be expanded to meet the needs of insurers in regional and international markets.

GPS Health Pvt Ltd is a Sri Lankan insurance technology company specialising in digital healthcare services and medical claims management solutions.
