Ting unveils multi-vendor ordering and built-in bill splitting

Ting, a locally developed digital ordering platform designed around Sri Lankan consumer habits, is set to officially launch on October 30, 2026, initially covering the Colombo district.

Developed by Edine Services (Pvt.) Ltd, a fully Sri Lankan-owned platform services company, Ting is entering the market with the promise Ting, the one ting for everything, offering a different approach to ordering food and other everyday essentials.

The platform brings together several features from launch, including multi-vendor ordering, integrated bill splitting and a managed rider fleet. The aim is to create a more connected ordering experience for customers while providing merchants and delivery riders with a structured platform.

One of Ting’s key features is its multi-vendor ordering capability. Instead of placing separate orders through different restaurants and delivery services, customers can add products from multiple merchants and categories to a single basket before checking out. They can also follow the entire order through a unified tracking view.

This allows customers to combine different needs in one order, such as a main meal from one restaurant, a dessert from another outlet and groceries for home, without having to switch between multiple applications, payment processes and delivery arrangements.

Group ordering is another feature positioned at the centre of Ting’s offering. Customers can have one person manage the payment, divide the total equally among the group or allow each participant to pay for their own items, while keeping the order consolidated for delivery to a single location.

The platform is also launching with its own managed rider fleet. Riders will receive training focused on service and customer experience, while being equipped with branded gear and supported through Ting’s dedicated Rider Hub.

Ting said its rider operations will be supported by structured training and ongoing performance management, with the aim of maintaining consistent service standards for both customers and merchants.

As the platform develops, Ting also plans to provide opportunities for riders to join its delivery network on a freelance basis, offering additional flexibility for individuals seeking delivery-based earning opportunities.

Nayanapriya Dias, Assistant General Manager, Business Operations and Marketing at Edine Services, said Ting was developed around how Sri Lankan consumers increasingly place orders together and expect greater convenience from digital services.

She said the platform aims to bring these requirements into a single connected experience while providing merchants with a more consistent and commercially supportive structure and riders with a more organised operating environment.

According to Dias, the company’s ambition is to build a distinctly Sri Lankan platform that can continue adapting as consumer needs and the local market evolve.

Ting will initially be available across the Colombo district, with further platform features, service improvements and expansion into additional areas planned as the company progresses with its roadmap.
