Softlogic Life pioneers AI-powered corporate reporting

Softlogic Life has unveiled its 2025 annual report, themed ‘BIG MOVES, BIG IMPACT’, introducing what the company describes as Sri Lanka’s first five-part AI-powered intelligence ecosystem for corporate reporting.

The new ecosystem is designed to make corporate information more accessible, interactive and useful for investors, analysts, researchers and other stakeholders. It combines five key features: the AI-Optimised Annual Intelligence Report, ‘Lifey’ Predictive Intelligence Analyser, Adaptive Intelligence Engine, Annual Report Audio Intelligence and Stakeholder Sentiment Intelligence.

The AI-Optimised Annual Intelligence Report has been developed for an increasingly digital corporate reporting environment, where stakeholders use AI assistants, large language models and digital financial platforms to access and analyse company information. Through an open, industry-standard connection based on the Model Context Protocol, external AI systems can connect with the annual report and retrieve verified information directly from the source.

Softlogic Life’s ‘Lifey’ Predictive Intelligence Analyser takes this interaction further by allowing users to ask questions about the annual report through text or voice. The system provides contextual responses that can also be played back as audio, creating a more interactive way to explore corporate information.

The Adaptive Intelligence Engine gives stakeholders greater control over how they consume the annual report. Rather than relying on a standardised format for every reader, the system enables users to create a version of the report tailored to their individual requirements.

Accessibility is further expanded through Annual Report Audio Intelligence, which converts key financial, strategic and sustainability information into a series of AI-generated audio episodes. Available in 10 languages, the feature allows stakeholders to access information about Softlogic Life’s performance and strategic direction in a format that can be consumed while on the move.

The fifth component, Stakeholder Sentiment Intelligence, introduces a two-way feedback mechanism to corporate reporting. Users can identify their stakeholder role and provide feedback by rating aspects such as readability, clarity, navigation and the usefulness of AI-enabled features. The collected feedback is then analysed by AI to identify stakeholder sentiment, expectations and emerging areas of interest.

Softlogic Life Chief Financial Officer Nuwan Withanage said the company’s AI-powered intelligence ecosystem reflects a fundamental change in its approach to corporate reporting, with the aim of transforming information into intelligence, disclosure into dialogue and historical reporting into forward-looking insight.

Softlogic Life EVP and Chief Digital Innovation Officer Saranga Wijayarathne said Lifey supports natural-language and voice interactions across more than 70 languages. He added that the Adaptive Intelligence Engine gives users control over the perspective, content, depth, style, language and output format of the information they receive.
