DIMO Care Camp strengthens after-sales support for farming community

DIMO Agribusinesses has successfully concluded DIMO Care Camp 2026, completing 38 service activations across 38 locations throughout Sri Lanka between August 8 and September 15, 2026.

The initiative was open to tractors of all brands and models, highlighting DIMO Agri Machinery’s focus on accessible after-sales support and continued engagement with farming communities across the country.

The Care Camps were held across several major agricultural regions, including Kurunegala, Anuradhapura, Vavuniya, Kilinochchi, Ampara, Monaragala, Polonnaruwa, Batticaloa and Matale. By taking technical and maintenance services directly to farming areas, the programme demonstrated the reach of DIMO Agri Machinery’s islandwide after-sales service network.

Tractor owners who attended the activations received a range of services, including comprehensive vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs, technical consultations and access to essential spare parts. DIMO’s technical teams also provided practical advice on proper tractor maintenance, helping owners improve machinery performance, operating efficiency and service life.

The initiative extended beyond agricultural machinery support, with participants also receiving free health checks that included blood pressure measurements, BMI assessments and blood glucose testing.

Games, gifts and other activities were also organised during the activations, creating a more engaging experience for farming communities. Participants were additionally provided with guidance on improving productivity and supporting their livelihoods through proper machinery care and informed agricultural practices.

As part of the programme, a special training session was conducted for agricultural machinery students at the Ethimale Vocational Training Centre. The session combined practical technical training with guidance on career development and professional opportunities within the agricultural machinery industry.

The training initiative forms part of DIMO’s broader efforts to strengthen technical capabilities and support the development of skilled professionals who can contribute to Sri Lanka’s agriculture sector.

DIMO Executive Director Rajeev Pandithage said the Care Camp was designed to make technical expertise and after-sales services more accessible to tractor owners, regardless of the brand or model they use. He added that combining direct support for farming communities with training opportunities for agricultural machinery technicians was intended to strengthen the wider agricultural ecosystem and contribute to productivity and sustainability.
