Sri Lanka Digital Day 2026 will bring together national digital policy and practical business solutions on 6 November in Colombo, creating a platform for policymakers, technology leaders, corporate decision-makers and entrepreneurs to examine how digital transformation can support business growth and strengthen competitiveness.
The event will take place concurrently with INFOTEL 2026, the flagship ICT exhibition of the Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka (FITIS), scheduled for 6 to 8 November.
Organised by the Digital Services Chapter of FITIS, Sri Lanka Digital Day 2026 will focus on the practical role of digital transformation in improving productivity, strengthening business competitiveness and creating new opportunities across the economy.
The programme will connect two key aspects of Sri Lanka’s digital development, namely the policy and regulatory frameworks that enable digital progress and the technology and business solutions that translate those frameworks into practical outcomes.
The morning sessions will focus on areas including Sri Lanka’s national digital strategy, SME growth and the banking and financial ecosystem. These discussions will examine key developments shaping the country’s digital economy and the opportunities available to businesses as digital adoption continues to expand.
The programme will also feature digital transformation case studies and business-focused sessions, providing insights into how organisations can move beyond interest in digital technologies towards practical implementation.
A dedicated panel discussion on corporate IT leadership and adoption strategies will further explore the role of technology leadership in helping organisations navigate digital transformation and implement solutions aligned with their business needs.
“Sri Lanka Digital Day is intended to bring the digital ecosystem into one conversation, connecting policymakers, technology companies, businesses and industry leaders around the opportunities emerging from digital transformation. As Sri Lanka continues to build its digital economy, we need stronger collaboration between these stakeholders to translate technology into practical value, productivity and new opportunities,” said FITIS Digital Services Chapter President N. Udayakumar.
FITIS Chairman Dr. Dayan Rajapakse said the digital economy is increasingly influencing how organisations operate and compete.

Sri Lanka Digital Day 2026 is expected to provide a common platform for stakeholders across the technology and business ecosystem to exchange perspectives, examine practical digital solutions and explore opportunities emerging from the country’s continued digital transformation.
