Dialog Axiata PLC has introduced the Dialog 5G Ultra MiFi, described as South Asia’s first 5G MiFi with eSIM capability and Wi-Fi 6 technology, offering customers a portable solution for fast and reliable internet connectivity on the move.
The launch further strengthens Dialog’s focus on next-generation connectivity, supported by its 5G network, which currently has more than 1,000 live 5G sites across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka.
Designed for professionals, businesses, students, travellers and families, the Dialog 5G Ultra MiFi provides users with high-speed internet connectivity across different locations. Its compact, plug-and-play design makes it suitable for remote working, business travel, temporary workspaces and backup connectivity, while also providing an option for locations where fixed broadband services may not be readily available.
As a 5G MiFi with eSIM capability, the device supports both Dialog 5G Ultra and 4G networks. It is equipped with Wi-Fi 6 technology and can connect up to 16 devices simultaneously, allowing users to share a single internet connection across laptops, smartphones, tablets and other compatible devices.
The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery, offering up to 16 hours of continuous use. Type-C USB connectivity provides additional flexibility, making the MiFi suitable for a range of connected devices and everyday connectivity requirements.
The launch also builds on Dialog’s work in eSIM technology, following services such as eSIM One Number and eSIM Quick Transfer. The company said these services are aimed at making connected experiences more convenient and seamless for customers.
Dialog Axiata Group Chief Operating Officer Lim Li San said the new device reflects the growing need for connectivity that can adapt to customers’ increasingly mobile lifestyles.

The introduction of South Asia’s first 5G eSIM MiFi is another step towards making next-generation connectivity more accessible, flexible and convenient for all Sri Lankans,” he said.
The Dialog 5G Ultra MiFi is compatible with Dialog Ultra plans, including Dialog Ultra 1495, 1895, 2595, 2995 and 3999. These plans provide access to Dialog 5G Ultra connectivity in areas where the service is available, with continued connectivity through the 4G network.
Priced at Rs.39,990, the Dialog 5G Ultra MiFi with eSIM is available through Dialog’s official website and selected Dialog outlets. Customers can also access payment plans of up to 60 months through participating credit card partners.
