Pay&Go partners with Sejaya Micro Credit to simplify loan repayments

MegaPay (Pvt) Ltd, the operator of Pay&Go, has partnered with Sejaya Micro Credit Ltd., a licensed microfinance company serving clients through more than 55 branches across Sri Lanka and a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Gojo & Company Inc.

The partnership is aimed at providing Sejaya’s clients with a faster and more convenient way to repay their loan instalments, while supporting the two organisations’ shared commitment to advancing financial inclusion.

Under the partnership, Sejaya clients can make loan repayments through the Pay&Go mobile app, its network of more than 1,000 self-service kiosks island-wide, or Pay&Go POS machines available at stores across the country. The services are accessible 24/7, allowing customers to make repayments without having to visit a Sejaya branch.

Customers also receive instant digital receipts and payment confirmations, providing a faster and more convenient alternative to traditional repayment methods.

“This partnership is a step closer to our mission of making payments accessible to every Sri Lankan. Together with SEJAYA, we are putting that convenience directly in the hands of those who need it most,” said Vardan Aslibekyan, General Director, MegaPay (Pvt) Ltd.

Many of Sejaya’s borrowers are self-employed entrepreneurs operating small businesses such as retail shops, tailoring businesses and other enterprises. Recognising the potential to support these entrepreneurs beyond loan repayments, the two companies are also exploring ways to extend Pay&Go POS solutions to Sejaya clients through a proposed “Repay & Grow” initiative.

The initiative is intended to enable Sejaya borrowers to accept card and bill payments at their own businesses, potentially providing them with an additional digital payment solution while expanding access to cashless transactions within local communities. Further details of the initiative will be announced as the partnership progresses.

“Our clients deserve financial services that work around their lives, not the other way around. Pay&Go makes that possible,” said Rizanth Francis, Chief Executive Officer, Sejaya Micro Credit Ltd.

The partnership also forms part of broader discussions between the two organisations on expanding digital payment acceptance across Sri Lanka. Their shared focus includes increasing the use of cashless transactions, strengthening financial literacy and supporting economic empowerment through accessible payment technology.

Through the collaboration, MegaPay and Sejaya aim to make digital financial services more accessible to customers while exploring technology-led solutions that can support both individuals and small businesses across the country.
