DIMO unveils all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026

The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026 was unveiled by DIMO at the inaugural Sri Lanka Tennis Premier League 2026, which concluded recently, introducing the latest addition to the Mercedes-Benz SUV range to the Sri Lankan market.

As Mercedes-Benz celebrates 140 years of innovation, the introduction of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026 reflects the brand’s continued focus on innovation, intelligent mobility and the evolving needs of customers worldwide.

Positioned under the theme ‘Own Your New World’, the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026 has been designed with families in mind, combining space, flexibility and everyday practicality with the comfort and premium experience associated with Mercedes-Benz.

A key feature of the SUV is its third row of seats, which transforms the GLB into a seven-seater designed to accommodate larger families and groups. The rear seats can also slide forwards and backwards, with individually adjustable backrests, allowing occupants to create a balance between passenger comfort and luggage capacity. This flexibility is particularly useful when carrying larger items such as prams or sports equipment.

The exterior design of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026 further reinforces its SUV character. Its confident stance is complemented by daytime running lights shaped in the form of the Mercedes star, while the tail lamps feature a signature light animation. Together, these design elements give the vehicle a distinctive appearance that is recognisable both during the day and at night.

The GLB also places emphasis on entertainment and connectivity. Its multimedia system allows passengers to stream music and video on the vehicle’s screens, providing entertainment during longer journeys and adding to the overall family-oriented experience.

Powering the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026 is a four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 48V hybrid system. The combination is designed to deliver strong everyday performance while improving fuel efficiency.

DIMO Group Managing Director and CEO Gahanath Pandithage said, “For more than eight decades, DIMO and Mercedes-Benz have together defined true premium mobility in Sri Lanka. The all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026 is the latest chapter in that journey, bringing modern true luxury, innovation and versatility to a new generation of Mercedes-Benz owners.

“At DIMO, we provide a complete Mercedes-Benz ownership experience through world-class after-sales service, expert technical support, genuine parts and the confidence that comes from partnering with Sri Lanka’s only authorised Mercedes-Benz agent since 1939.”

With the introduction of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB 2026, DIMO continues to strengthen its Mercedes-Benz offering for Sri Lankan customers, reaffirming its position as the Home for Mercedes-Benz in Sri Lanka for more than 85 years.

As Mercedes-Benz marks 140 years of innovation, the new GLB carries this legacy into a new generation by bringing together intelligent technology, versatile space, distinctive design and everyday practicality. Under the ‘Own Your New World’ theme, the SUV is positioned as a premium mobility option for families seeking greater flexibility without compromising on the Mercedes-Benz experience.
