BTS is once again making Billboard history, and the group’s ARIRANG World Tour is showing no signs of slowing down.
The seven-member group, comprising RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook, has generated $433.2 million from 38 reported shows, according to the latest Billboard Boxscore figures. The concerts, held through August 11, attracted approximately 2.3 million ticketed attendees, making ARIRANG one of the biggest touring achievements in BTS’ career.
What makes the numbers even more remarkable is that the tour is still ongoing. BTS began the ARIRANG World Tour on April 9 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, marking the group’s return to full-scale live performances following its extended group hiatus. The tour was announced as an 85-show run across 34 cities and 23 countries, with the schedule later expanding further.
The latest figures also put BTS in historic territory among vocal groups. With $433.2 million already reported, ARIRANG has moved beyond the previous touring benchmarks associated with major Western vocal groups, including the Backstreet Boys.
The achievement is particularly significant because BTS has also broken its own attendance record. The group previously welcomed approximately 2.02 million fans across its Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour in 2018 and 2019. With roughly 2.3 million tickets already reported for ARIRANG, BTS has now passed that figure during an incomplete tour.
BTS continues to dominate Billboard’s touring charts
The momentum behind the ARIRANG World Tour has been visible month after month.
In April, the opening month of the tour, BTS generated approximately $76.2 million and returned to the top of Billboard’s monthly Top Tours chart for the first time in four years.
May brought an even bigger milestone. Twelve concerts across the United States and Mexico generated $127.8 million from approximately 641,000 tickets. That became the highest monthly gross by a group in Billboard’s monthly tracking, surpassing the $95 million record previously set by The Rolling Stones in August 2019 by roughly 35 percent.
The Las Vegas shows were among the biggest contributors. BTS’ four concerts at Allegiant Stadium generated approximately $49.5 million from nearly 246,000 tickets, adding another major box-office achievement to the tour’s growing list of records.
The momentum continued into July. BTS generated $102.5 million from eight concerts, placing the group at No. 2 on Billboard’s July Top Tours chart behind The Weeknd, who generated $124.4 million from 16 shows. Billboard also noted that BTS became only the third artist in history to generate more than $100 million in monthly touring revenue in multiple months, following Beyoncé and Bad Bunny.
The July performances were particularly strong across Europe and North America, with every BTS concert that month placing among Billboard’s top 10 Boxscores. In Paris alone, the group drew approximately 185,000 fans and generated $30.6 million in ticket revenue.
ARIRANG is still far from finished
Perhaps the most striking part of BTS’ latest touring milestone is that the $433.2 million figure represents only the revenue reported from the first 38 shows.
The ARIRANG World Tour continues through multiple international markets. The announced itinerary includes upcoming performances across Latin America, Asia and Australia, with additional dates in cities including Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and Manila.
That means the current $433.2 million total is not the final figure for the tour. More concerts mean more Boxscore reports, more ticket sales and potentially more milestones for BTS to add to its growing touring record.
The scale of ARIRANG is also notable because it comes during BTS’ first major world tour following the group’s return to full-group activities. The tour opened with three concerts at Goyang Stadium before moving through Japan, North America and Europe and continuing into further regions around the world.
For ARMY, the numbers are more than just statistics. Fans have been celebrating each new milestone online, with many pointing out that BTS has already passed the two-million-attendee mark for a second tour while ARIRANG is still underway.
And with BTS already sitting at $433.2 million after just 38 reported shows, the biggest question may no longer be whether ARIRANG will break more records, but just how high can BTS take the final numbers before the ARIRANG World Tour finally comes to an end?
