Marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory, global remote services provider Invest Lab Business Solutions recently celebrated its fifth anniversary alongside the launch of its new domestic arm Right Vantage Corporate Solutions.
The new entity aims to cater to the growing local demand for integrated corporate support services, positioning itself as a single trusted partner for Sri Lankan businesses.
Delivering a keynote address at the event, held in Colombo recently, Hemas Centre of Excellence Finance Services General Manager Chamila Cooray detailed the company’s remarkable five-year journey. She noted that Invest Lab was established in May 2021, under a fully remote model, initially operating with just a single client and a laptop.
Drawing a parallel to the growth of a Chinese bamboo tree, Cooray highlighted the patient, long-term approach the founders took to build deep operational roots. She observed that the company navigated late nights, hard decisions and continuous learning to scale its capacity.
By focusing on building client trust one relationship at a time, Invest Lab steadily expanded its global footprint, providing specialised remote support in legal, accounting and construction-related services to an international clientele.

Cooray also praised the founders, Karen Rubera and Gayan Senanayake, pointing out that their shared background as Chartered Accountants brings a rare combination of precision and courage to the enterprise, resulting in a business built to last.
Recognising a parallel need for comprehensive corporate support closer to home, the founders introduced Right Vantage Corporate Solutions. The new venture is entirely dedicated to serving Sri Lankan clients, offering a wide array of expertise encompassing legal, human resources, finance, company secretarial services, business advisory and compliance. By consolidating these essential administrative functions, the company aims to streamline operations for local enterprises.
Speaking at the launch event, Invest Lab Managing Director and founder Karen Rubera emphasised the shifting demands of modern enterprises, noting that businesses today are actively seeking simplicity and efficiency in their operations rather than dealing with fragmented service providers.
“They don’t want to coordinate with one company for HR, one company for legal, one company for finance, etc. They want one trusted partner, a team that understands their business, one place that they can turn to with confidence. That inspired our next chapter,” Rubera said.
She noted that Right Vantage was created with a clear purpose to simplify how businesses access corporate support services by bringing everything together under one roof.
“Because when businesses spend less time managing administration, they have more time to focus on innovation, on growth and creating value. This is the advantage we want every client to experience,” she added.

While the new company focuses on domestic market expansion, Rubera reaffirmed that the core values of integrity, professionalism, reliability and partnership will continue to guide their operations. The leadership team is also eyeing significant capacity building in the near term to support their widening service portfolio.
“In the next 12 to 18 months, we plan to double the number of employees,” Rubera stated, signalling strong confidence in the company’s future growth and the expanding market for integrated corporate solutions in Sri Lanka.
The celebratory event in Colombo was attended by prominent figures in the local and international business community, including KPMG Partner Jagath Perera and Invest Lab Business Development Partner from Australia Samara Drennan.
