Ceybank has marked its 35th anniversary, commemorating more than three decades of investment management experience, institutional resilience and service to generations of investors in Sri Lanka.
The company has operated through various economic cycles and significant changes in the local financial markets, with its continued presence reflecting its established position and the confidence built among investors over the years.
The 35th anniversary was commemorated at a private gathering held at Ceybank’s corporate office in Colombo, bringing together shareholders and members of the leadership to reflect on the company’s journey and its future direction.
The event was attended by Bank of Ceylon (BOC) Chairman Kavinda de Zoysa, highlighting the longstanding relationship between the two organisations. BOC remains Ceybank’s largest shareholder, with its participation reflecting continued confidence in the company’s future growth.
Ceybank Asset Management Ltd is jointly owned by four established institutions, bringing together expertise from the banking, insurance, investment management and corporate sectors.

The remaining 12.5% is held by diversified regional conglomerate Carson Cumberbatch PLC.
This shareholder structure provides Ceybank with a combination of local financial sector strength, investment management expertise and diversified corporate backing.
Over its 35-year journey, Ceybank has developed expertise across several investment categories, including money market, fixed income, income, balanced and equity investments. Its approach has focused on disciplined fund management, governance and risk management to help investors navigate changing market conditions.
The company also provides discretionary portfolio management services, offering customised investment solutions for corporates, institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
