Hutch has partnered with the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) to support four of the country’s leading platforms recognising achievements across sales, marketing, digital innovation and entrepreneurship.
The partnership covers the National Sales Awards, SLIM Digi Awards, SME Development Awards and Effie Awards, bringing Hutch alongside initiatives that highlight proven sales performance, digital marketing excellence, SME growth, strategic effectiveness and business results.
The National Sales Awards recognise outstanding sales practices backed by measurable results, while the SLIM Digi Awards celebrate innovation and impact in digital marketing. The SME Development Awards highlight small and medium-sized enterprises demonstrating excellence across marketing, sales, innovation and sustainable business practices. The Effie Awards recognise achievements in strategic thinking, execution, teamwork and marketing effectiveness.
As Sri Lanka’s apex professional body for marketers, SLIM connects with a broad national community comprising business leaders, marketers, sales professionals, entrepreneurs, SME owners and corporate decision-makers through its programmes and initiatives.
Through its collaboration with SLIM, Hutch aims to support and celebrate individuals and organisations contributing to Sri Lanka’s economic progress, while recognising achievements in sales, marketing effectiveness and entrepreneurship.
Rajiv David, Vice President of Events & Sustainability at SLIM, said the institute was pleased to partner with Hutch, noting the telecommunications brand’s continued evolution through technology and digital innovation.
He added that the collaboration reflects a shared focus on supporting businesses, marketers and entrepreneurs by creating greater access to knowledge, innovation and opportunities for growth.
Hamdhy Hassen, Chief Marketing Officer of Hutch Sri Lanka, said the company views brand leadership as being closely connected to empowering the people and businesses contributing to the country’s economic development.
He added that the partnership with SLIM provides Hutch with an opportunity to support professionals and entrepreneurs who are shaping Sri Lanka’s business landscape and working towards creating new opportunities.
The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared focus on recognising achievement and encouraging continued innovation across Sri Lanka’s marketing, sales and business sectors.
