Hemaka Balasuriya – Chief of Dialog Business Services (Pvt) Ltd and Shiyan Jayaweera, Director of Marketing – Hemas Consumer Brands, exchange the signed MOU formalising the menstrual health partnership
The H.E.R Foundation, with the support of Fems, has strengthened its commitment to improving menstrual health and hygiene in Sri Lanka through a newly formalised partnership with Dialog Business Services (Pvt) Ltd.
The collaboration was officially marked through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), paving the way for enhanced menstrual health awareness and improved accessibility to sanitary products for female employees and customers across Dialog Business Services locations nationwide.
Built around two key focus areas, the initiative first introduced menstrual health and hygiene awareness programmes for female employees at multiple Dialog Business Services premises. These sessions aimed to foster open conversations, challenge misconceptions, and provide women with reliable, practical knowledge about menstrual well-being. The programme also expanded on previous efforts already initiated in this space.
Strengthening the second phase of the partnership, 29 sanitary napkin dispensing units have now been installed across Dialog Business Services offices and retail outlets following the MOU signing. The initiative is designed to ensure easier and more convenient access to menstrual hygiene products.
The installations span major office locations in Colombo alongside 23 Dialog retail outlets across the island, including areas such as Ampara, Anuradhapura, Badulla, Batticaloa, Galle, Jaffna, Kandy, Kilinochchi, Kurunegala, Negombo, Nugegoda, Ratnapura, Trincomalee, Vavuniya, Wennappuwa, and several other regions, reflecting the broad reach of the programme.
