Prime Lands Residencies PLC, the condominium development arm of Prime Group, has announced the completion of the superstructures of all three towers at The Colombo Border, marking a significant milestone in the construction of the landmark residential development.
The achievement follows the earlier topping out of Tower Cosmos and confirms that all three towers, Brielle, Cosmos and Amaa, have now progressed through one of the most complex phases of construction. The project has advanced ahead of its original schedule, bringing the development significantly closer to completion, with handover scheduled to commence from mid-2027 onwards.
The Colombo Border is a large-scale residential development located in Peliyagoda, an emerging residential hub at the gateway to Colombo. Designed around the concept of modern urban living, the development brings together connectivity, convenience, recreation, sustainability and community living within a single residential environment.
Spread across approximately 6.5 acres of prime real estate, the development comprises three residential towers offering thoughtfully designed two- and three-bedroom residences, along with a limited number of four-bedroom penthouses. Approximately five acres of the overall development have been allocated to landscaped gardens, leisure areas, recreational amenities and open green spaces, creating an environment designed to provide residents with a balance between urban convenience and access to nature.
The completion of the three superstructures represents a major step forward for The Colombo Border and reflects the construction planning and coordinated execution behind the project. Two specialised engineering teams have been working in parallel across the site, with Prime Construction (Pvt) Ltd, the Group’s in-house construction arm, leading the construction of two towers and Sanken Lanka (Pvt) Ltd undertaking the construction of the third.
The coordinated efforts of the two construction teams have enabled the project to maintain its construction momentum while focusing on quality and engineering standards. The achievement also reflects the planning and execution undertaken by Prime Lands Residencies PLC as the development moves into its next phase.
The Colombo Border has been positioned as a modern condominium development that combines a strategic location with extensive green spaces, premium amenities, sustainable design and a community-focused residential environment. These features have contributed to interest from both homeowners and investors seeking residential and investment opportunities within the wider Colombo area.
Tower Cosmos has been completely sold out, while limited two- and three-bedroom apartments remain available across the development, with prices starting from Rs. 48 million. The remaining residences provide options for existing homeowners looking to expand their property portfolios as well as buyers seeking a future-ready home in a growing residential destination.
Commenting on the construction milestone, Sandamini Perera, Chairperson of Prime Lands Residencies PLC, said, “The completion of the superstructures across all three towers represents another important achievement for the Group and for the wider development of the project.”
She noted that maintaining the pace of construction without compromising on quality demonstrates the Group’s continued commitment to delivering projects on schedule. “The trust placed in the Prime brand by buyers is valued at every stage of the project. It represents an investment in which the company will continue to honor with quality engineering and construction excellence as The Colombo Border moves into its next phase,” she added.
With the superstructures of all three towers now completed, The Colombo Border is progressing towards its next stage of development. Prime Lands Residencies PLC continues to focus on delivering a residential environment that extends beyond conventional condominium living, bringing together homes, green spaces, amenities and community-oriented facilities within a single development.
