Union Assurance recently hosted the Sampath Bank Life Leads Annual Awards 2025 at Cinnamon Life, Colombo, bringing together senior leadership from both Union Assurance and Sampath Bank, along with representatives from Sampath Bank’s islandwide branch network.
The event served as a platform to recognise and celebrate the exceptional contributions of branch employees whose dedication and customer engagement have played a vital role in the continued success of the Life Leads partnership between the two institutions.
Founded on a shared commitment to delivering greater financial security to Sri Lankans, the partnership between Union Assurance and Sampath Bank has continued to strengthen access to life insurance solutions through one of the country’s most extensive banking networks. Over the years, the collaboration has evolved into a successful bancassurance model, combining banking convenience with comprehensive insurance offerings.
The Life Leads Annual Awards, now a key event in the partnership’s calendar, highlights the collective achievements of both organisations while honouring the individuals whose efforts drive growth, customer value, and service excellence across the network.
Awards were presented across a range of performance categories, recognising outstanding Sampath Bank employees and branches for their contribution to the Life Leads channel. Categories included Best Introducer, Best Branch, Best Regional Manager, and Best Chief Manager, celebrating excellence at multiple levels of the organisation.
Special recognition was also given to the Top Life Leads Champion and the National Level Top Achiever, honouring individuals who demonstrated exceptional performance and commitment throughout the year.
Commenting on the achievements celebrated at the event, Union Assurance Chief Partnership Distribution Officer Wathsala Aluthgedara highlighted the strength of the collaboration and the shared vision that continues to drive its success.
