CSE’s 2025 annual report ranked as Sri Lanka’s No. 1

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) has been recognised as having Sri Lanka’s top annual report for 2025, securing Gold for the third consecutive year at the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) 2025 Vision Awards in the Annual Report and Integrated Report categories.

The CSE’s 2025 Integrated Report, themed ‘Where Confidence Meets Capital’, was ranked No. 1 among Sri Lankan annual reports and was also placed among the top 100 reports in the Asia-Pacific region. The report additionally received the global Gold Industry Award for the third consecutive year.

The annual report highlighted the CSE’s strategic priorities, key achievements and long-term vision, outlining the organisation’s progress amid evolving market conditions and its continued focus on technological innovation.

The latest recognition further highlights the CSE’s emphasis on transparent and forward-looking corporate reporting and its role in Sri Lanka’s financial sector.

“Being ranked as Sri Lanka’s No. 1 annual report and receiving the LACP Gold award for the third consecutive year is a proud affirmation of the CSE’s commitment to transparent, accountable and forward-looking reporting,” said Kusal Nissanka, Executive Vice President, Finance, Listed Entity Compliance and Sustainability at the CSE.

“Our 2025 annual report reflects not only our performance but also the significant progress made in strengthening market infrastructure, expanding access, advancing digital reporting and supporting sustainable capital formation. This recognition encourages us to continue setting higher standards and building confidence among all stakeholders in Sri Lanka’s capital market,” he added.

The CSE recorded several milestones during 2025, including the launch of its subsidiary CSE Clear (Pvt.) Ltd, which operates Sri Lanka’s first central counterparty framework. The exchange also established a branch in every province, expanding access to capital market services across the country.

Further developments included the initiative to introduce eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) for listed entities in Sri Lanka and the phased adoption of SLFRS One and Two sustainability reporting standards.

The CSE also introduced its Green, Social, Sustainable and Sustainability Linked (GSS+) bond framework. Through the framework, the market collectively raised approximately Rs.82 billion during 2025, accounting for nearly 40 percent of the total debt capital raised through the CSE during the year.

The successive international recognition for the CSE’s annual reporting comes as the exchange continues to focus on market development, technological innovation and transparency. The organisation has also highlighted the competitiveness of Sri Lanka’s capital market as the economy continues to strengthen.

The CSE said its continued focus remains on enhancing market infrastructure, expanding access and supporting the development of an efficient and transparent capital market capable of serving both local and international investors.

The third consecutive Gold recognition at the LACP Vision Awards reflects the CSE’s continued emphasis on reporting standards, professionalism and transparent communication with stakeholders.
